Water supply, the delivery of water to homes and neighborhoods and the infrastructure required to deliver is a problem in some parts of Cuba. The Kuwaiti Development Fund has granted Havana 21 million dollars for a sewage and water supply project in Havana and surrounding suburbs. Cuban institutions and the Kuwaiti Fund for the Arab Economic Development signed three accords supporting the rehabilitation of Havana´s sewage and water supply networks with a 21-million-dollar credit line. The agreements will allow implementing the second stage of the rehabilitation project, since in 2012 the Kuwaiti institution had granted Cuba credit lines for water resource facilities in the Cuban capital.
